History

1973: Daikin-R/M Co., Ltd. founded as a joint company between Raybestos-Manhattan Inc.(in USA) and Daikin Manufacturing. Co., Ltd.(Exedy Corporation)
1974: Set up Chitose plant
1977: Provided the Friction discs for automatic transmissions

1983: Released the first originally-developed wet friction material in Japan
1987: Global OEM business started
1989: Annulled the joint enterprise agreement with R/M Inc.

1990: Provided the Lock-up piston assemblies for torque converters
Opened a Europe representative office in Germany
1991: Changed the company name to Dynax Corporation
Set up Tomakomai plant
Opened a representative office in USA
1995: Received the award of TPM Excellence
Established Dynax America Corporation
1996: Provided the Clutch pack assemblies for automatic transmissions
1997: Provided the Synchronizer rings for manual transmissions
Obtained QS9000 & ISO9001certification
Set up the plant of Dynax America Corporation in Roanoke, Virginia USA
1999: Introduced Quality Engineering
Established Shanghai Dynax Co. Ltd.

Established Dynax Industry(Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

2003: The 30th Anniversary of the founding
Received the grand prize of energy-saving promotion in Hokkaido
2004: Received the award as a company contributing to trade and investment from Hokkaido Bureau of Economy Trade and Industry
Obtained ISO/TS16949 certification
